Costumes: Be it at a masquerade ball, costume party or Halloween. The costume search can give you a headache. Especially when things have to go fast, we seem to run out of ideas. Whether you’re looking for a costume for yourself or your kids, here’s a list of suitable ideas.
Vampire costumes
A classic, but probably one of the cheapest and easiest costumes. Dress in black and find a long, dark coat or cape. Depending on how much effort you want to put into it, you can glue on vampire fangs or simply paint them on with makeup. To make it even more authentic, cover your face with light powder and paint your lips red. Put a few drops of blood around your mouth if you want to look more bloodthirsty.
Witch
All you need is a dark dress and a witch hat. You can be creative with this costume, because the witch costume can be combined with various accessories. Examples of suitable props are a broom, a bottle with magic potion or a crystal ball, if you want to be a witch who is clairvoyant.
ghost
All you need for this costume: a white linen cloth and sewing skills at beginner level. Of course, the easiest way to make the costume is to use a sewing machine. However, if you don’t have one at home, you can also turn the linen cloth into a ghost costume with needle and thread. If sewing is too complicated for you, you can find fun ghost capes in almost all costume stores.
Devil
You don’t have to buy almost anything for this. Dress in red from top to bottom and get devil horns at the costume store. The creative among you can also design them yourself. All you need is a headband, some red fabric, absorbent cotton to fill them with, and fabric glue or hot glue. Cut out your devil horns from the red fabric, sew them together and leave a gap. Then fill the horns with absorbent cotton through this gap. Then sew the horns together by hand and glue them to the headband. A great costume, which you can also create at the last minute.
Clown
Also a disguise, which you put together as quickly as possible. Pick out a colorful outfit. You can create it from clothes that you already have in your closet. Then get a funny wig and clown nose. If you can’t find a clown nose, you can paint it on with red paint or red lipstick. Paint your face and your Halloween costume is ready.
Cats costumes
Choose what kind of cat you want to be. Dress up in their colors and buy cat ears and a cat tail to tie around them. You can also create the cat ears in the same style as we explained for the devil horns. Also, paint on a cute cat nose and whiskers to make the disguise look even better.
Pick one of these ideas and create your own Halloween costumes without much effort. Have fun dressing up and hopefully there will be lots of trick-or-treating!
