Your schedule is overbooked and you can’t go to the gym or for a run right now? This quick workout combines yoga with high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and is an excellent way for a daily workout.
You can do this workout at home, in your hotel room or in your favorite park. Below we explain why it is good to combine yoga with HIIT.
You can practice it anywhere and anytime
In order for there to be apparent results, you need to exercise almost every day. The main reason why people do not achieve the desired result is that they do not have enough time for it. With this 23 minute home workout, any excuse is out of place. Just seven minutes of HIIT training every day will bring extraordinary results, and with yoga you will learn how to breathe properly and define your muscles.
Additional muscle training
Most HIIT workouts are focused on type II muscles. These are muscles with fast twitches and the corresponding exercises for them are mostly squats, etc. With yoga I focus you on the type I muscle fibers, more specifically the stabilizers. The yoga exercises that do this are Vasisthasana and the Half Moon. When you combine HIIT and yoga, you get the proper muscle building, which makes you stronger and more flexible, plus additional cardiovascular benefits.
Improves breathing
Another benefit that yoga brings is that it connects you to your breathing and you enter a phase of complete relaxation (via your parasympathetic nervous system). Imagine you are in a position to experience this relaxed state every day. How would that affect your family, friends and co-workers?
