You find yourself in a situation where even though you exercise, eat healthy and watch every bite, the kilos just won’t go away. You just don’t know what to do to lose excess weight.
If you find yourself in a situation like this, then we know where your problem lies. Namely, stress. Yes, it may sound like a cliché, but stress is the main trigger for this problem. When you suffer from stress, your organism immediately recognises it and wants to fight it. In ‘fight mode’, it immediately tries to find a way to calm you down and one way is food. But this is the key. Even if you eat a healthy diet, the body will still recognise the food as high fat and store it. You can also see stress as a blockage in your body that does not allow you to reach your desired goal. Therefore, it is imperative that you find a way to relax and cope with stressful situations. In the following text, we bring you some tips on how to relieve yourself of stress and cope with stressful situations.
Exercise
Physical activity is extremely important for a healthy life and even more: exercising will make you happy and relax you. Listen to your favourite music and get moving. If you’re not a big fan of intense workouts and gyms, grab your headphones and go for a jog or a walk.

Practice meditation and deep breathing
Learn to calm down, even in the most difficult and stressful situations. Put on your headphones, go on Youtube and pick any meditation. Meditation and deep breathing will help you relax even in the most stressful situations. Take a deep breath, count to ten and exhale and listen to a meditation or relaxing instrumental melody.
Eat slowly
If you eat quickly and unconsciously, you are putting your body into a stressful situation without realising it. Try to put your phone aside, calm down and consciously try to eat slowly. Enjoy every single bite.
Put yourself first
Even if you have a family and children, you should still put yourself first. If you are not calm and at one with yourself, you will not be able to help your loved ones. Always try to find time for yourself, be it a walk in nature, a bath, a massage, a workout or a relaxing reading session. It is absolutely not important what you do. You should relax and enjoy some ‘me-time’.
Tea
You should include herbal teas in your diet plan as they are a healthy and appropriate way to calm down. Have some soft music playing in the background, lie on the couch with a blanket and enjoy a cup of your favourite tea.
