Chai Latte: Fall has already crept into our homes, so it’s time to switch from cold sodas to something warmer. With the colorful, dry leaves on the trees comes the scent of tea and cinnamon. Fall is the perfect time to relax on the couch with a soft blanket and a good, warm drink like chai latte.
Chai latte is popular all over the world, as it is an ideal option for those who like tea, but also drink drinks with milk like cappuccino. Today we show you how you can easily make this trendy drink yourself.
It is quick to prepare and an ideal substitute for coffee bought in a cafeteria. Check out what we used from the ingredients and how we prepared our chai latte.
Incredients Chai Latte
- 2 cups of water
- 2 bags of black tea
- 2 cloves 2 bags black tea
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon ginger
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup (can also be honey)
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup milk (if you are vegan, you can also use vegetable milk)
Chai Latte preparation
Put water and spices in a small pot and boil until the water boils. Then turn off the hotplate and wait 5 minutes for the spices to release their flavor. Then add two bags of black tea and two tablespoons of maple syrup to this water, turn the hotplate back on and wait for the mixture to boil.
When the tea has boiled, turn off the heat and remove the tea bags. While the tea is cooling, add the milk, cinnamon and a spoonful of maple syrup to the second pan. When the milk starts to boil, take it off the heat. Then take a stick blender and blend the milk until it becomes frothy.
When everything is ready, pour the tea into the cup (up to half a cup) and then add the milk that you prepared before. If desired, add a little more cinnamon at the end.
Serve the drink with your favorite cookies, light a candle and enjoy your homemade chai latte.
